The Importance Of Grammar

MSNBC reported today in an article about what was found at the bombed site of al-Zarqawi's end that, "Alongside the fractured concrete and twisted metal was a nightgown, other women’s clothes and a white man’s shirt."

I wonder what the significance of the shirt of a white man has to do with the items found. Maybe they think there was a person from the United States who was giving secret intelligence to the terrorists. Perhaps they feel that someone from the west was brokering a peace agreement, and was killed during an important positive step. Or there is always the case that the writer of this piece published before an editor could review it. Whatever the case, it is certainly fascinating.

For the record, a white man's shirt is usually a t-shirt with a cigarette, liquor or beer company logo.
