Intelligent? Yeah, right!

Recently in Atlanta, GA a victory for reality, as reported by CNN :

ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- Since 2002, Dr. Kenneth Miller has been upset that biology textbooks he has written are slapped with a warning sticker by the time they appear in suburban Atlanta schools. Evolution, the stickers say, is "a theory, not a fact." ...On Thursday (1/13/05)... a federal judge [ruled] that ordered the Cobb County school board to immediately remove the stickers...

However, today in Pennsylvania, as reported by the Kansas City Star :

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Dover Area School District : High school students heard about "intelligent design" for the first time Tuesday in a school district that attracted national attention by requiring students to be made aware of it as an alternative to the theory of evolution.
...The district is believed to be the only one in the nation to require students to hear about intelligent design - a concept that holds that the universe is so complex, it had to be created by an unspecified guiding force.

Why? God only knows.
