Is It A Catch 22, Mr. Bush?

Today at the UN (over thar on the East Side o'Manhattan), Dubya knocked 'em dead again with his wit (quote taken directly from the White House website):

Freedom, by its nature, cannot be imposed -- it must be chosen. From Beirut to Baghdad, people are making the choice for freedom. And the nations gathered in this chamber must make a choice, as well: Will we support the moderates and reformers who are working for change across the Middle East -- or will we yield the future to the terrorists and extremists? America has made its choice: We will stand with the moderates and reformers.

Okay, so Bush says now freedom cannot be imposed, yet he decided to use force to create freedom and democracy in Iraq. Am I the only one who sees something odd in this statement? Did Bush actually make a mistake? And what of the democratically chosen Hamas leadership in Palestine? Does he agree with the choice of the people there?

Does Bush really consider himself a moderate supporting moderates? Does he really think of himself as a reformer supporting reformers?

First of all, Bush doesn't support anyone. He is the Decider! He knows he is right (with all decisions), and has no doubt about that. After all, he has actually stated, "Let me just first tell you that I’ve never been more convinced that the decisions I made are the right decisions." (found under MSNBC Altercation 09/15/06 "quote of the day") .

Okay. He's freakin' craaaaaaaaazy!

I just wonder... And this is just me wondering here... Once it is revealed that torture has occurred in U.S. military and extra-super-secret CIA prisons, will Bush be held accountable? I've never tossed this idea around because it was always too political a thing, but would impeachment be out of the question? For too long the Bush Administration, like a teenaged rebel, has pushed the envelope, waiting to be told its limitations. Congress never acted, and Dubya and company have gone too far with their handling the Middle East. Now that Powell has spoken up (and this action REALLY means something), I think it's clear that a line between what is right and wrong has not only been crossed, it has been left in the dust.

Bush must realize that it is not he, but the Pope who is infallible... uh, right? Wait something about that doesn't seem right lately either. Does that also have to do with the Middle East? Something is certainly wrong here.
